One of our directors, Katharine Watson, has been awarded a Winston Churchill Memorial Trust fellowship. This enabled her to travel to England and the US in May-June 2023 to visit archaeological repositories and learn more about the best ways to archive and share archaeological material and data. Upon completion of her travels, Katharine will be preparing a research report, which will be made available via the WCMT website and linked to here. The results of this fellowship will help inform not only the development of Christchurch Archaeology Project, but also address the bigger issue of what happens to archaeological material from throughout Aotearoa.
