Crema De Perlas De Barry

Barry's Perla Cream, or Barry's Pearl Cream was a cosmetic cream advertised in New Zealand newspapers between 1873 and 1929. It was part of a beauty industry that favoured pale complexions and white skin, claiming to remove wrinkles, freckles and tan, making skin "clear, pure and white as alabaster". This particular bottle was found at the site of H. F. Stevens, a chemist.
